Murder Mystery- Murder on the Oriental Rug

Tableside Theater is coming to Sassafras on Wednesday, October 30th at 6 PM! Murder on the Oriental Rug is a hilarious play within a play with a cast of crazed characters. When half of the cast bails on their double-crossing director, the remaining performers are stuck playing all the roles. Among them are a Shakespearean actor with a drinking problem, a washed-up former child star, a bimbo with a short memory, and a hapless costumer who finds herself onstage playing a man. Then, there’s Dr. Apu Ovary, renowned hot flash specialist who’s secretly treating a famous actress trying desperately to regain her youth. Along with a myriad of other outlandish characters, the audience will also have a chance to figure out just who the murderer really is, with prizes for the best guesses!
Menu: Mixed greens salad Stuffed chicken breast garnished with sauteed vegetables Garlic crème mashed potatoes Green beans Warm buttered rolls Assorted cakes garnished with fresh berries Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance. Card bar will be available the night of the event.
